2.3.1 spase://CNES/NumericalData/CDPP-AMDA/FREJA/MFE/fja-mfe-1hz 1 Hz data 2004-02-22T01:49:00Z survey data of the DC peturbation magnetic field at 1 Hz resolution. These data are for survey purposes only, they are not intended for publication or formal presentation. The data result from the removal of the Earth's main field and removing the spacecraft spin motion, and are plotted in geomagnetic coordinates with the N-axis +ve toward magnetic north and the E-axis +ve to the east. For reference, we used the system described in: Eccentric Dipole Coordinates For Magsat Data Presentation, D.D.Wallis, J.R. Burrows, T.J. Hughes and M.D.Wilson Geophysical Research Letters, Vol. 9 No.4, pp 353-356, April 1982. Such data are mainly useful for a qualitative assessment of the DC data and "eyeballing" interesting geophysical phenomena. Please contact Dr. L. J. Zanetti (zanetti@ jhuapl.edu) before using any of this data in scientific analyses or publications. spase://SMWG/Person/L.J.Zanetti ProjectScientist spase://CDPP/Repository/AMDA Online Open http://amda.cdpp.eu NetCDF JHUPL http://sd-www.jhuapl.edu/Freja/1Hz_Data/ spase://CNES/Instrument/CDPP-AMDA/FREJA/MFE MagneticField 1992-10-24T00:00:00 1995-02-15T23:59:59 PT1S Earth.Magnetosphere b_geo fja_mfe_b magnetic field in geographic coordinates TimeSeries 3 bx 1 fja_mfe_b(0) nT by 2 fja_mfe_b(1) nT bz 3 fja_mfe_b(2) nT perturbation fja_mfe_pert DC perturbaton magnetic field, North, East and Parallel components TimeSeries 3 north 1 fja_mfe_pert(0) east 2 fja_mfe_pert(1) parallel 3 fja_mfe_pert(2) nT altitude fja_mfe_alt spacecraft altitude in geographic coordinates km TimeSeries latitude_geo fja_mfe_lat spacecraft latitude in geographic coordinates deg TimeSeries longitude_geo fja_mfe_lon spacecraft longitude in geographic coordinates deg TimeSeries
