The instruments use one long electric dipole antenna and two magnetic search coil sensors in order to cover frequency ranges from dc to 5.6 MHz for the electric measurements and from about 30 Hz to 1.5 MHz for the magnetic measurements. A set of spectrum analyzers along with a fast memory and an analog wide-band system are used to determine wave intensities and to identify wave modes. User will acknowledge the AMPTE/IRM plasma wave spectrometer team in any publication resulting from the use of these data. spase://SMWG/Person/Bernd.Hausler PrincipalInvestigator IEEE Transaction on Geoscience and Remote Sensing Article https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/4072290/ Deatiled information about the AMPTE IRM Plasma Wave Spectrometer NSSDC Master Catalog https://nssdc.gsfc.nasa.gov/nmc/experiment/display.action?id=1984-088B-04 Information about the AMPTE-IRM PWS Spectrometer The Plasma Wave Spectrometer on AMPTE/IRM spase://CNES/Observatory/CDPP-AMDA/AMPTE/IRM
