Uploading Data

1 : Select data file source - Local or Remote (URL).

2 : In the case of URL you may specify the URL of the site (FTP access only for the moment!) and select the file by browsing the remote files.

3 : Or put the full file URL (http or ftp) directly into the form.

4 : File format is detected automatically - if not, select the format.

For all file formats except ASCII time format is defined by file format.

ASCII format allows different time definitions.

Note that ASCII files may have different structure - "Running" Time with time at every file line and with StartTime-DeltaT in the header of the file.

5 : Don't forget to click the Upload button.

6 : If there is no error the file is saved into your Workspace and added to the My Files tree.

7 : Special Mydata window for creating parameters from the uploaded files (MyData parameters) is opened. Depending on the file format you may select MyData parameter from the existing in the file (CDF,netCDF, CEF, VOTable) or define it by selecting the file columns (ASCII).

Note that Mydata form is opened also with the Edit File of the context menu of the My Files tree.

Uploading Time Table

4 : Time table format is detected automatically - if not, select the format.

VOTable format uses ISO time definition.

ASCII format allows different time definitions

Valid time range: 1970-01-01 - 2038-01-19.

5 : Don't forget to click the Upload button.

6 : The uploaded time table is shown in the TimeTable Manager window and user has to save it in order to store in the WorkSpace.
